The wide was too narrow
I've been buying the sneakers for over 20 years. I always buy the wide.
These were too narrow. Could it be where they are now manufactured?

Most comfortable shoe ever manufactured. I wear daily in different materials and colors
Since I discovered this shoe many years ago, I rarely wear any others except for dressy occasions. White is my usual choice for summer and around my home but black leather, brown leather and beige Nubuck are also wonderful. I only wish that I could purchase blue Nubuck, too!
For comfort nothing beats Easy Spirit's AP1!

Great shoe
AP1 is one of the most comfortable sneaker that I have found. I have been buying this sneaker for over 15 years. As others have stated they can be slippery on wet pavement, however. I wish there was something on the bottom to prevent skidding. Also it is next to impossible to get this sneaker in other colors besides the typical white. I'd then be able to wear them to work. The shoe is very flexible, and durable. I spend a lot of time on my feet, and these sneakers are an excellent fit!

All-time favorite!
These are my all-time favorite walking shoes! I've been wearing the AP1 for years, and buy new ones when the old ones eventually wear out. I also wear these shoes on our European tours which include lots of walking on a daily basis, and have never had a problem with my feet, even though I have a bunion on my right foot. They fit very well, even though I have a narrow heel, and are true to size. I think they are just about the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned!
